2025 Indiana Pacers Preseason Preview

The Indiana pacers finished last season with a record of 47 wins and 35 losses and made it to the Eastern Conference Finals before getting swept. Indiana had no trouble scoring the ball last year, it was stopping the other team that lead them to being the 6th seed in the East.

This will be the first full season for the new-look Pacers who traded for Pascal Siakam halfway through last year. Along with all-NBA third team, 23 year old point guard Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers look to make a leap during the regular season with a young team that proved they were ready to compete last year.

Indiana made minimal moves this offseason and look to improve in house by developing chemistry through consistency on a team that made a pretty large roster adjustment in the middle of last season. All but 4 players on Indian have 4 or fewer years of NBA experience, and Rick Carlisle could spend the beginning of the season trying to figure out which of young players is ready for a bigger role on team that hopes to contend again.

Indiana will make a pick in the first round of the 2025 NBA draft (unless they trade the pick that day), and the only other move they will need to make this offseason will be dealing with Myles Turner, who will enter unrestricted free agency. They should remain comfortably under the first apron and Indiana fans could be watching a team this year who’s core roster could stick together for some time to come.
